We are pleased to announce the Seveth MERCURY Conference on Undergraduate Computational Chemistry. The Conference will be held August 3-5, 2008, at Hamilton College, in Clinton, NY.
The conference will feature plenary lectures by
Lillian Chong, University of Pittsburgh
T. Daniel Crawford, Virginia Tech.
Kristin Koretke, Glaxo Smith Kline
William Noid, Penn State
Angela Wilson, University of North Texas
Susan Rempe, Sandia National Laboratories
In addition mainstays of the conference include an Undergraduate Poster Session and evening social sessions. This conference is an excellent forum for undergraduates to present their work and to learn from experts in the field, allowing them to put their own research in perspective. It is equally valuable as a network for faculty working with undergraduates. Undergraduates from all institutions are invited to come present their work.
Registration is $225 per faculty member, $120 per faculty guest, and $115 per undergraduate, and includes:
* Two nights accommodation in recently-renovated college housing.
* All meals, including a barbecue dinner on Sunday night.
* A social activity on Sunday and Monday nights.
Conference accommodations for faculty are in single-occupancy dorm rooms with private baths, linens and AC. We are able to provide double-occupancy rooms if requested. Conference accommodations for students are in single or double-occupancy dorm rooms. You will need to bring your own toiletries. There are centrally located phones in the residence halls. If you would prefer to stay off-campus, please contact us for recommendations in the area.
